Crathes Castle – Rosehip Syrup Sales
It has come to my attention that a handful of bottles of Rosehip syrup sold at Crathes Castle Market 7-9 November 2025 were mislabelled with a BBE date of 10/2025 instead of the correct BBE date of 10/2026.
I make all batches by hand and amend the label dates myself. A few labels were printed before the date was updated and I take full responsibility for this oversight. Last year’s syrup (BBE 10/2025) sold out in January, long before this year’s harvest, so I am entirely confident this is a simple labelling error rather than any stock being out of date.
All Rosehip Syrups sold should carry the BBE 10/2026. If you have any questions regarding this issue please do get in contact! Apologies for any inconvenience caused, lessons have been learned…

There are lots of seasoning blends in development using dehydrated fermented, pickled fruits and vegetables, and carefully selected certified organic additional ingredients (as we haven’t had much luck growing things like citrus fruits in Scotland!)
